Sampling and conversation basics
Good sampling is a ten-second conversation, not a speech. The goal is a positive moment and one thing people remember.
The approach
Make eye contact, smile, and open with something simple and friendly. Approach from the front, not from behind. Respect people who are clearly busy.
The ten-second message
Name the product, say the one thing that makes it worth trying, and offer the sample. Use the talking points from your brief and never make claims that are not in it.
Handing off
Offer, do not push. Make it easy to take. If there is a next step (a QR code, a store aisle, a show date), say it once and clearly.
When people say no
Thank them and move on. A friendly no still leaves a good impression of the brand. Never argue or follow someone.
Product rules
Follow the brief on age limits, allergens and handling. If someone asks something you do not know, say you will check, and ask your contact.
